RADARcenter, Jakarta, 4 February 2026 – President of the International Minifootball Federation (IMF) M. Al Dausari is on a working visit to Indonesia from 5 to 6 February 2026. The main agenda of this visit is to ensure the readiness of the 2026 Asia Minifootball Championship, with a series of activities including the group stage draw in Jakarta and a field inspection at Jakabaring Sport City in Palembang.

On the first day of the visit, activities will focus on the draw process that will determine the composition of the tournament’s participating groups. The event will be attended by various stakeholders, including officials from the Indonesian Mini Football Committee (KSMI) and representatives of teams that have qualified for the final round.

M. Al Dausari (IMF President) is fully committed to making the 2026 Asia Minifootball Championship a success.

“Indonesia has shown extraordinary commitment in preparing for the 2026 Asia Minifootball Championship. Today’s draw is a crucial milestone to ensure the competition runs fairly and excitingly. I am confident that with support from all parties, this tournament will be a success and will help boost the popularity of minifootball across Asia and the world,” he stated.

Meanwhile, DR Ir. Yan Mulia Abidin (KSMI Chairman) said that the IMF President has expressed high appreciation for KSMI.

“President Al Dausari’s visit is a form of direct appreciation and support from the IMF for Indonesia’s efforts as host. KSMI has made thorough preparations over the past few months, and today’s draw is the first step toward elevating Indonesian minifootball to a higher level. We are committed to organizing a professional tournament that inspires the younger generation,” said Yan.

On the second day, the IMF delegation along with KSMI officials will visit Jakabaring Sport City in Palembang to inspect the field that will serve as one of the tournament’s main venues. The Elite Mini Soccer Field within the complex has been prepared to international standards, including a synthetic turf surface that meets IMF specifications.

Agung Kurniawan, Chairman of the 2026 Asia Minifootball Championship Organizing Committee, expressed his readiness for the international event.

“We have carried out various improvements and refinements to the facilities at Jakabaring Sport City. From the field itself to supporting amenities such as changing rooms, prayer rooms, and spectator accessibility, all have been our focus. Today’s inspection will ensure that all elements are ready to welcome participants and minifootball fans from across Asia,” he said.

Daeng Supriyanto SH MH CMS, Secretary General of KSMI, added that support from various parties continues to flow.

“Palembang has great potential as a host for international competitions. Support from the local government and the people of South Sumatra has been invaluable in preparing for this event. We hope that through the organization of the 2026 Asia Minifootball Championship, minifootball will continue to grow in the regions and become a platform for nurturing talented players,” noted Daeng.

The 2026 Asia Minifootball Championship is scheduled to be held in this month, with the hope of strengthening relations between countries through the sport of minifootball. (*Adi)
